Given the complexities of human services and the evolving nature of client needs, provide a paragraph how can social workers and other human service professionals can effectively integrate client values and preferences with the latest research evidence to achieve ethical and effective outcomes in a culturally sensitive and responsive manner? Potential Discussion Points: Balancing evidence with client values: Explore the inherent tension between using standardized, evidence-based interventions and tailoring services to individual client needs and preferences. How can professionals navigate this balance to ensure both fidelity to the evidence and client-centered practice? Cultural competency and EBP: Discuss the challenges and strategies for adapting and implementing EBPs in diverse cultural contexts. How can professionals ensure that interventions are culturally sensitive and responsive, especially when research may have been conducted on homogenous populations? Ethical considerations in EBP: Consider the ethical dilemmas that may arise when implementing EBPs, particularly concerning informed consent, autonomy, and potential power imbalances between professionals and clients. Final Exam 5-1 EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT SERVICES LOCATION: Hospital Emergency Department PATIENT: Kali Crow PHYSICIAN: Paul Sutton, M.D. CHIEF COMPLAINT: Epistaxis. SUBJECTIVE: This is a 35-year-old female who has a history of chronic steroid treatment and has a nasal septal perforation. She comes to the emergency room regarding recurrent nosebleed that she was treated for several hours earlier by me. This has started to bleed once again. This is why she returns. OBJECTIVE: She is afebrile. Pulse: 70 and regular. Respirations: 18. Blood pressure: 172/95. She has a significant amount of clot blown free again after the packings are removed. She had Surgicel and Vaseline gauze packings placed bilaterally. The site of bleeding is not evident on examination. This seems to be posterior to the perforation area, in the Kiesselbach plexis. We did place rhino packings with air inflation bilaterally, which did provide hemostasis. She has had PT INR, PTT and a CBC that was remarkable only for a platelet count of 130,000, which is chronic for her. This was done earlier. ASSESSMENT: Epistaxis controlled. PLAN: She is discharged to home and is to contact ENT tomorrow to arrange a follow-up and removal of the rhino packings. She should return once again if having increasing problems. CPT Primary Code: CPT Secondary Code: ICD-10-CM Primary Diagnosis: ICD-10-CM Secondary Diagnosis:
